Columbus Wedding Vendors I Trust

A short, vetted list of Columbus wedding vendors I work alongside and personally recommend. Planners and photographers I would book for my own wedding.

Columbus Wedding Vendors I Trust

Most of what I write on this blog covers the DJ side of a wedding day. Music, timelines, sound, lighting. This post is different.

After enough weddings, you start to learn which other vendors actually deliver. The planners who keep a day on rails. The photographers who can pull a real moment out of a stiff room. The ones whose work quietly makes mine easier. The ones I would hire for my own wedding if I were planning one in Columbus.

This is a short list. Every name on it earned the spot by showing up and doing the work week after week. If you are planning a Columbus wedding and need a starting point, start here.

Columbus Wedding Planners I Trust

A good planner is the difference between a day that flows and a day that drags. From the DJ booth, you can feel it. Cues land on time. Transitions are smooth. Nobody is chasing the bridal party for the grand entrance because the planner already did. The right planner lets me focus on the music instead of the clipboard.

Two Rings Events

Lera Gutridge runs Two Rings Events out of Columbus, and she is the kind of coordinator who lets the rest of the vendor team do their actual jobs. Detailed planning packets. Every transition pre-cued. Every vendor briefed before the day starts. The work happens before the wedding, so the wedding itself feels easy.

I worked alongside her team most recently on Morgan and Michael’s wedding at Sugar Valley Golf Club, and the room was dialed in from the first announcement to the last dance. No scrambling. No surprise changes mid-reception. Just a clean run, the way every wedding day should feel.

KGC Planning and Content

Kendall Crookston runs KGC Planning and Content, and her angle is different from most planners in this space. She offers both planning and content creation. So she is the one running your day, and she is also the one capturing the candid, behind-the-scenes phone-camera footage that does not show up in your formal photo gallery.

For couples who want one fewer vendor to manage, or who want the planning and content sides to actually talk to each other, this combo is a real edge. Detail-oriented on the planning side, with a real eye for the moments most vendors miss.

Columbus Wedding Photographers I Trust

A photographer is the only vendor besides the planner who is with you for the full day. Their style and their energy matter as much as their portfolio. The photos are the thing that lasts long after the dance floor empties. The way they move through your wedding shapes how relaxed it actually feels.

Chris Bowman Photography

Chris and Jess Bowman run Chris Bowman Photography as a husband and wife team out of Columbus. Their own line about their work is “passionate about photographing love and in the business of loving people,” and once you have watched them work a wedding day, it tracks.

Candid moments over forced poses. Natural light when it is there. The kind of unhurried, low-pressure presence that pulls real expressions out of guests who would otherwise freeze up for the camera. When the weather does not cooperate or the timeline slides, they roll with it, and the gallery usually comes back better for it.

Goose + Rose Imagery

Ken and Karina Pullin run Goose + Rose Imagery, another husband and wife team based in Central Ohio. Their style is documentary through and through. No stiff poses, no forced smiles. They shoot the quiet in-betweens, the laughter that bursts out of nowhere, the fleeting looks most galleries never catch. Their own line is that your wedding deserves to be felt, not staged, and their work backs it up.

They also offer photo and video packages together, which is worth knowing if you want both sides covered by one team that already works in sync. Weddings, engagements, and everything around them.

Why I Share Vendor Names With Couples

Couples ask me for recommendations on almost every booking call. It is one of the most useful things a working DJ can offer, because we see a lot of vendor teams from the inside. Who keeps their word. Who shows up early. Who treats the rest of the vendor team with respect.

This list will grow. As I work with more Columbus florists, videographers, hair and makeup pros, and officiants who consistently impress me, I will add them. Until then, the names above are the ones I trust.

If you are still putting your team together and want help thinking through your day, reach out. Happy to point you in the right direction. And if you have not locked in a DJ yet, here is how we work with Columbus couples.
